Website Support & Development Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Website Support and Development Specialist to provide comprehensive support, maintenance, and development for our critical public-facing website and its underlying cloud infrastructure.

This role is essential for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our online services, including eServices, business logic, and third-party integrations, while also driving new feature development.


Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Development & Support

  • Provide comprehensive support and development services for the website.
  • Work with:
    • Windows Server / IIS
    • ASP.NET / C# Framework
    • Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) as the primary database

2. Cloud Hosting Environment Management

  • Manage and monitor website hosting infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ensure secure, stable, and optimized server performance.
  • Handle server configuration, scaling, patching, and resource monitoring.

3. API Development & Support

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs or other web services.
  • Support third-party integrations and internal systems.

4. Ongoing Website Maintenance & Enhancement

  • Provide continuous maintenance for the existing website, including:
    • Page content updates
    • Functional enhancements
    • Bug fixing
    • Maintenance of all existing eServices and business logic

5. New Development Hours

  • Allocate a minimum of 200 development hours annually for new feature requests, modules, or major system upgrades as specified by the organization.

6. Urgent Support & Incident Management

  • Ensure availability to handle urgent issues outside normal hours, including:
    • Website outages
    • Security threats
    • Critical service failures
  • Follow defined response time and escalation processes.

7. Other Functions

  • Chatbot support, maintenance, and licensing.
  • Narration’s function and licensing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in ASP.NET (C#) development.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) development, administration, and performance tuning.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and IIS for web hosting and administration.

Cloud / DevOps

  • Proven experience managing infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) (EC2, RDS, VPC, monitoring tools).
  • Strong understanding of server configuration, patching, scaling, and security best practices in cloud environments.

Web Services

  • Experience in developing and supporting RESTful/SOAP APIs and web services.

Support & Soft Skills

  • Strong experience in bug fixing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to be on-call for urgent support as per SLA requirements.
