Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a system support specialist to support and maintain the organization’s computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all of the organization’s software and hardware equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The individuals will promptly and accurately address problem areas through in-person, telephone, or work order support and offer assistance to end-users as needed.
Education and Experience:
The nominee should have at least Diploma in IT/Computer with at least 5 years of experience in same field.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Possess strong technical skills in areas such as hardware and software troubleshooting, network operations and system administration.
- Familiarity with relevant operating systems, and technical support tools.
- Communication, Customer Service and Training:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are crucial for ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ability to effectively communicate with end users, provide end user support, and document solutions for future use.
- Train the users on the basic related tasks if needed.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
- Strong analytical thinking skills are necessary to troubleshoot technical and procedural issues using established knowledge databases and personal experience.
- Time Management and Prioritization:
- Use time management skills to prioritize support tasks and complete job duties efficiently.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge Management and Innovation:
- Keep up to date on current developments in information technology.
- Maintain knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
- Assistance and Technical Support:
- Provide assistance and technical support for all types of issues affecting end users, such as software problems, network breakdowns, and hardware failures.
- Respond to guests’ queries, provide technical computer support, and maintain computer systems’ performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair computer, hardware, and software problems in a complex networked environment.
- System Maintenance and Administration:
- Create and maintain user accounts.
- Create and maintain computer systems images and install peripherals, including hard drives, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, copiers, etc.
- Install and configure computer systems and applications within the organization.
- Monitor, evaluate, and check up on the status of organization hardware, network health, and software versions.
- Cyber Security and Data Protection
- Understanding of cyber security principles to ensure the security of systems.
- Follow cyber security guidelines to ensure the security of the systems.
- Maintain documents of issue resolution in a secure store, provide recommendations to improve business strategies and procedures.
